Description
In-person workshop.
Co-Occurring Disorders is a relevant topic with many behavioral health practitioners providing dual treatment. This workshop will review the diagnosis of mental health symptoms for clinicians trained primarily with substance use disorders to improve their clinical effectiveness by treating mental health disorders concurrently.
Learning Objectives:
- Implement Co-Occurring disorder specific interventions.
- Identify Co-Occurring disorder treatment aspects.
- Improve engagement of clients where mental health referrals are needed.
- Learn strategies of dual focused treatment and recovery.

Lisa Prefontaine, LMHC Related Seminars and Products
Lisa Prefontaine is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, working in the Mental Health field for over 18 years. After working for 13 years at a local Behavioral Health Agency, the last 5 years as Clinical Director of Mental Health Services, Lisa is currently in full time private practice. She does individual therapy with adolescents and adults, as well as consultation for private practitioners and EMDR trained therapists, and is a trainer on various clinical topics. Lisa has maintained a private practice for 11 years and began using online services for self-pay in 2011. She continues to do online sessions and consultations.
