Alexander Rubin, LCSW


Alexander (Alex) Rubin, LCSW, is a clinical assistant professor for field education at the University at Buffalo School of Social Work. In the Office of Field Education, Rubin helps to link students with enriching and robust field placements. He is passionate about both the technical learning that comes with a graduate school education, as well as the self-learning that helps students prepare to enter and meet the evolving challenges of the profession.

Prior to joining the School of Social Work, Rubin served as a therapist for individuals, groups and families in a variety of settings. He also has extensive experience as a trainer for evidence-based practices and clinical skills.
