Live interactive webinar: Participants will have the opportunity to engage in discussion by unmuting and directly asking questions or through the chat feature in Zoom.
Description: Participants will be provided with a brief refresher of First Responder culture before diving into the impact of exposure to critical incidents and operational stressors. The review of trauma related diagnostic criteria, the complexity of moral injury, and elements of administrative betrayal will also be explored. Case conceptualization, a review of evidenced-based interventions, and building resiliency will be integrated to enhance the clinician's confidence in providing quality of care to First Responders and their families. An opportunity to interface with a panel of first responders for a lived experience Q & A will conclude the presentation.

Denise Fuller, LCSW-R is a licensed Clinical Social Worker, who has been in practice for over 25 years and dedicates her time to supporting military, first responders, and their families. She is the owner of Solutions Counseling Services of Buffalo as well as a retired Army veteran with experience in Military Police and Combat and Operational Stress Control. Prior to establishing her own practice in 2012, she also engaged in clinical and administrative roles in community mental health services and the NYS Office of Mental Health at Southport Correctional Facility, a former maximum security State prison. Ms. Fuller is a Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC) and Certified EMDR Therapist & Consultant. Ms. Fuller volunteers as the Coordinator for the WNY Humanitarian Assistance Program/Trauma Recovery Network and has also volunteered as a member of the Steering Committee for the WNY Trauma Collaborative.

How do I test my system / access the online training?
To access the program, please log into your account. Please plan to log in 10 minutes prior to the start time. The cancellation and refund policy below applies to individual courses. If you purchased multiple courses at one time they may be subject to individual processing fees.
