IMPORTANT: Course is provided through Harmonyhearth Center for Widsdom, Kriss Jarecki, LCSW-R. CEUs, registration, and customer support are being offered through the UB School of Social Work Office of Continuing Education. Eligibility: Participants must have completed a TI/CTI approved Progressive Counting Basic Training Course to attend this refresher.

Description:

There is an ever-growing number of clinicians trained in Progressive Counting thus there’s a growing need for opportunities to get updated and refreshed on the standard PC protocol as well as protocol variations. A review of how to conduct a trauma informed evaluation and preparation for Progressive Counting will also be discussed. Via lecture/discussion, scripted handouts, practice and client videos: we will review the PC standard protocol, PC with clusters, when using float back and when doing future anticipated events.

  3. Use float back with PC
  4. Apply the PC protocol for clusters
  5. Conduct future work using PC

Kriss has been a Licensed Clinical Social Worker since 1987. She is a consultant and trainer for Progressive Counting and EMDR and an advanced training provider. Kriss currently serves on the EMDR International Association Board of Directors and was a member of the EMDRIA Standards and Training Committee for four years. She served as a co-regional coordinator for the WNY EMDR Regional Network for 10 years, worked for 7 years as a field instructor for the UB School of Social Work and has over ten years’ experience as a clinician and supervisor in the field of chemical dependency. Kriss currently has a private practice serving teens through adults and treats challenges such as PTSD, self-injurious behaviors, depression, anxiety, phobias, and adjustment issues. She has published articles in the Journal of EMDR Practice and Research, Traumatology and Counseling and Psychotherapy Research. Kriss also provides several trauma related trainings such as Integrating Neuroscientific Interventions in Trauma Treatment, A Tour of Trauma Sensitive Techniques for the EMDR Practitioner, IFS Meets EMDR and Journey of the LGBTQ+ Community from Trauma to Triumph.  Kriss presented “From Trauma to Triumph: Journey to Resiliency in the Community of Those with a Disability at the EMDR Canada 2022 conference and the EMDR International Association 2022 and 2023 conferences. Eligibility

Participants must have successfully completed the Progressive Counting Basic Training Course.  

Completion Requirements

Full attendance is required, partial credit is not given for partial attendance. This workshop requires active participation by all, including but not limited to keeping video cameras on and participating in workshop activities. 

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Full payment is due by the start of training. Participants may cancel by contacting the Office of Continuing Education up to 10 business days prior to a training and receive a refund minus a $50 processing fee.

Participants who cancel less than 10 business days prior to the training will receive a refund of 50% of their registration fee. 

No refunds will be issued within 24 hours of the training.
