Tapping into your Breath to Reduce Stress


This is the fifth session in The Wellness Project: Using the Breath in Stress Management

This module will cover the what, why, and how of tapping into the breath as a stress management tool. We will explore the breath through inquiry to include mechanics of respiration, types and styles of breathing. We will then tie in the rest and digest state that can be induced through the breath.

Objectives:

  1. Differentiate between breathing styles and types of breath.
  2. Practice breath observation
  3. Employ breathing techniques as a stress management tool
  4. Practice breath awareness for five minutes
